How to use it
Paste or type your text in the left box — up to 5000 characters at a time.
Choose the target language. You can leave the source language alone: by default it is detected automatically.
The translation appears on the right half a second after you stop typing — there is nothing to click.
If the wording is not quite right, pick another option below the result box. One button copies the finished text.
Features
Four languages, any pair
English, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), and Arabic. You can translate in any direction, and the button between the two lists swaps the languages along with the text.
Automatic language detection
Not sure what language the text is in? Leave it on “Detect language.” The tool identifies it and shows the language name below the input box.
Alternative translations
Along with the main translation, you get up to three alternative wordings. Click one to make it the main translation; the previous one stays in the list, so you can always switch back.
Our own translation server
Translation runs on our own server using the open-source LibreTranslate engine. Your text is not passed to third-party translation services.
Questions and answers
Is the translator free?
Yes. No sign-up is needed, and there is no limit on the number of translations for normal use.
How much text can I translate at once?
Up to 5000 characters per translation. Translate a long document in parts — section by section or paragraph by paragraph.
Which languages are supported?
English, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), and Arabic. You can translate between any two of them.
How accurate is the translation?
This is machine translation powered by the open-source LibreTranslate engine. It handles emails, instructions, and descriptions well, but can get idioms and specialized terminology wrong. A contract or anything meant for publication should be proofread after translation.
Why do I sometimes see an “I’m not a robot” check?
It protects the service from automated requests. The check usually runs unnoticed; a challenge is shown only when the requests look like they come from a program.
Need a custom service or work on your website?
We built these tools ourselves. We build websites, client dashboards, and internal business services the same way — and take over support of ones that are already running.
